This is the middle of Bernstein's Symphonic Dances from West Side Story, beginning at the part that the Simon Bolivar Youth Orchestra encored, Gustavo Dudamel, conductor.
What an awesome performance. That trumpet section is insane!

The overwhelming close of Mahler's 'Resurrection' Symphony from a fantastic performance by The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra in '98. Soloists are Anne-Sofie von Otter and Hillevi Martinpelto.
This was Sir Simon Rattle's farewell concert with the CBSO, who served as their Music Director for 18 years.
