In 1958 voorspelde Disney hoe de snelwegen van de toekomst eruit zouden zien. Als het sneeuwt warmt het wegdek op, en wordt zo droog. Enorme machines rijden door het land en leggen in één keer een stuk snelweg aan. Geprefabriceerde viaducten worden snel op hun plaats gehangen. Men had toen nog vertrouwen in de techniek. Alleen de files, die had men niet voorzien!
